TEASER
I shot Ethics of Survival while visiting my family in Brazil. The whole shoot didn't take more than two days, my last two, before returning to Germany.
The film is a concise portrait of my younger brother, Rudi: a magician, boy scout, survivalist, Krav Maga fighter and Jewish youth leader, who contemplates leaving a violence-obsessed Brazil to volunteer as a lone soldier in the Israeli army.
Other members of my family appear in different roles, as for instance during Yom Kippur dinner or on Krav Maga demonstrations.
